Frequently Asked Questions |
What industry or client base is your primary focus? |
PARAGON is functionally focused as specialists in new business/new product development. Our clients range from basic chemical and industrial producers to pharmaceutical, personal care and consumer products. We work in areas from commodity product to high tech. Our PARAGON Network™ has the required industry specific expertise. |
What initial commitment is required for a project assessment? |
Except in extraordinary circumstances, we do not charge any fees for initial consultations and assessments. In many cases there are no expenses at all, even if a site visit is required, providing there are actual RFPs in place. |
What is the potential for conflict of interest
from projects and activities with potential competitors? |
PARAGON will not engage in any project with a competitor with the same objective for a period of 2 years after completion of the first program. In addition, all work is proprietary, and as such, no information generated in any project is used for other clients. No multi-client studies are generated. |
Are your terms and conditions flexible with regard to fees or contingencies? |
Yes. We look at compensation via equity or other contingency agreements as very attractive. In addition, we have standing agreements with a number of major companies to support their technology transfer and acquisition activities. |
How does your process compare to a client's internal stage-gate processes? |
PARAGON uses stage-gate as an efficient mechanism to optimize client value, with our clients as the gate managers. We also review the client's internal gate requirements and align our output to those. |
Do you conduct training seminars on your process? |
No, but we do give workshops and presentations on the Voice-of-Market® Process. |
